Upon your arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, you will go through the immigration procedure. You will then be welcomed and taken on a shared transfer by an English-speaking driver to downtown Windhoek, capital of Namibie, renowned for its historic buildings, lively atmosphere and craft markets. You will then arrive at your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you can dedicate the rest of the afternoon to exploring the city on your own and discovering its iconic sites, restaurants and craft markets.

After breakfast, you will take a non-private English-speaking transfer from your hotel to Eros Airport. You will meet your English-speaking pilot there and depart on a private charter flight heading south.

You will then arrive at your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time at Kulala Desert Lodge, you may participate in a first activity organized by the lodge, in non-private service, on its private reserve, at sunset.

The Kulala Desert Lodge is ideally located at the gates of Sossusvlei and offers exclusive access to the dunes via a private entrance. Its canvas and thatch chalets feature flat roofs allowing you to sleep under the stars. The lodge offers a warm atmosphere, a swimming pool with desert views and a watering hole frequented by oryx and springboks. Activities include excursions to Dead Vlei and Sesriem canyon, walks in the reserve and, optionally, hot air balloon flights at sunrise.

Early in the morning, you will enjoy a coffee or tea accompanied by biscuits before starting your activities., departure with the lodge guide and vehicle for a guided and non-private excursion to the Sossusvlei dunes. The Namib Desert and the Sossusvlei region offer some of Namibia's most iconic landscapes: its immense red dunes, among the highest in the world, create spectacular light displays at sunrise. Must-see sites such as Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy and Sesriem canyon reveal the striking beauty of this ancient desert. Despite its aridity, the area is home to adapted wildlife, including oryx, springbok and ostrich. The nights there are exceptionally clear, ideal for stargazing.

The departure is heading towards the coast, and you will enjoy a scenic flight offering spectacular views of the Namib desert and Sandwich Harbour, weather permitting. The flight will continue to Swakopmund airport, where an English-speaking transfer will take you to your hotel.

Upon arrival, you will proceed to hotel check-in. The afternoon is free for you to rest or enjoy the hotel facilities. Swakopmund, nicknamed the "pearl of the coast", is a beach resort with charming German colonial character, renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, beaches bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and its historic buildings. You can stroll along the promenade, visit the Swakopmund museum, admire the architecture of the Woermannhaus or discover the artisanal markets.

The town is also an ideal starting point for excursions into the desert, boat trips to observe sea lions and dolphins, or adventure sports such as sandboarding and quad biking on the dunes.

This park is one of the largest reserves in southern Africa, covering more than 22,000 km². It is famous for its vast salt depression, the Etosha Pan, visible from space. Safaris there are exceptional thanks to abundant wildlife: majestic elephants, lions, black rhinoceros, slender giraffes, zebras and large herds of antelope. The watering holes, scattered throughout the park, attract animals throughout the day and offer spectacular scenes, especially at sunset.

Etosha is an essential stop to experience one of the best safaris in Namibie. Its contrasting landscapes – grassy savannas, sparse forests and arid plains – create a striking setting for wildlife viewing. Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.

The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

  • More than 60 days before departure: 40% of total price (deposit retained)
  • Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% of total price

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and Canada traveling to Namibia for a tourist stay. As entry rules may change, we recommend that you verify this information with the official authorities before your departure.

Passport

To enter Namibia, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after the date of entry into the country and contain at least two to three blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).

Tourist stay without a visa

Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Canada benefit from a visa exemption for tourist stays in Namibia.

This exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days per 12-month period. The authorized length of stay is specified by the immigration officer upon entry into the territory.

The authorities may request:

  • a departure ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),

  • proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of the stay,

  • confirmation of an accommodation booking or a travel itinerary.

Arrival card

Upon arrival in Namibia, you will be asked to complete an entry form (arrival card) which is generally provided on the plane or available at border posts and international airports.

This form requires in particular:

  • passport information,

  • details of the flight or means of transport used,

  • the address of your first accommodation in Namibia,

  • the expected length of stay.

Health and vaccinations

No vaccine is mandatory to enter Namibia except from a country at risk of yellow fever, in which case an international yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

As a precaution, it is recommended that you consult a doctor or vaccination center before departure. The following vaccinations are generally advised:

  • hepatitis A and B,

  • typhoid,

  • tetanus-diphtheria-poliomyelitis.

Antimalarial prophylaxis is strongly recommended for trips to the north of the country, particularly in the Caprivi (Zambezi), Kavango and Etosha regions. Consult your doctor for treatment suited to your situation.

Travel with children

Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.

Namibia applies strict rules regarding travel by minors. When a child travels with a single parent or without their parents, it is strongly recommended that you carry:

  • a travel authorization signed by the other parent or by both parents in the case of travel with a third party,

  • the child's original birth certificate,

  • proof of family situation where applicable (custody order, death certificate, etc.).

Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should contact the embassy or consulate of Namibia in their country of residence.
